Stormy Kromer was an actual man. Railroad man. Invented a hat that wouldn’t blow off his head when he stuck his head out the train window to see what freezing town he was pulling into. A hat that would stay with him. This bag came later. It’s a bag that will stay with you.
George "Stormy" Kromer was a semi-pro baseball legend and railroad engineer. In 1903, Stormy and his wife fashioned and All cloth hat with a soft, canvas visor, that was not only comfortable, but would stay put even in the fiercest winds. Today, the Stormy Kromer Mercantile still makes their infamous hand-stitched caps, as well as outerwear, apparel, and accessories for men and women out of their factory in Ironwood, Michigan.
